From Supply Loss to Steady Flow in Record Time

A case study in polycarbonate panels

The Situation

A $70M+ manufacturer of heavy-duty vehicles, building everything from septic pump trucks to custom utility service vehicles, came to us with an urgent problem: their previous supplier had abruptly closed its doors, cutting off their source for critical parts. These essential parts kept their production lines moving, and without a replacement, they faced downtime, safety concerns, and pressure from management to find a fix.

The STRYKER Response

After evaluating their needs, we selected ACM with a polycarbonate overlay, a solution tailored to their application. Why this combination? The polycarbonate provides exceptional durability for panel displays that need to withstand constant handling, while the ACM delivers the rigidity and structural support their equipment demands.

We didn’t stop at material selection. Recognizing that their needs were ongoing and evolving, we implemented a weekly production process to handle their constant flow of new designs. This approach ensured their parts were processed consistently and on time, with no disruption to their operations.

The Outcome

The results spoke for themselves:

  • No downtime – production stayed on schedule
  • No rework – durable, high-quality parts right from the start
  • On-time delivery – every time, with zero late delivery penalties

The Proof

When supply chains break, you need a partner who can step in fast and keep you moving. We did just that.
